House party with friends — a game show in the living room

TV on, two teams and ready categories or your own questions about the group. No weeks of prep and no printed cards.

No prep — turn it on and play

TV in the living room, two teams, ready categories. You don’t run a survey a week earlier. You split up, someone opens the host panel on a phone, someone puts the board on the TV.

How it runs

  1. Open the TV board in the browser.
  2. Split into two teams — sofa vs kitchen, or whoever sits on which side of the table.
  3. The host picks a ready category or types 2–3 casual questions about the group.
  4. Buzzer on a tablet, or just raising a hand.
  5. Play until someone goes for more pizza.

If you have 10 minutes before start, add two questions about your group. The rest can stay as ready-made categories.

Sample questions

  • What do we order most at a house party?
  • What does someone always forget to bring?
  • Which show do we watch “just one more episode”?
  • What is still going at 3 a.m.?
  • Who goes to bed first, and who turns the lights off?

Questions about the group

You write a round about your friends: inside jokes, trips, who always does what. This isn’t a knowledge quiz — it’s a survey about you.

Sample questions

  • What always happens when this group gets together?
  • What sentence comes out before someone “steps out for a minute”?
  • Which trip do we talk about most?
  • What does someone promise and never deliver?

Buzzer on the sofa

One tablet or phone split into two buttons. First press answers. You don’t need to hand out devices — put it on the table between the teams.

If the group is small, skip the buzzer: the host points who answers. FamiliVersus still keeps the board and the score.
